Effective Coaching Services
Sessions will take the form of career planning including career decision making, job search strategies, developing your professional network, resume writing and cover letter development, and applying to graduate school or other professional development opportunities. Debra finds value in using career assessments such as the MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) personality assessment and the Strong Interest Inventory. Debra will make these assessments available to you with some additional cost if you are interested.
Career Awareness
Career development begins with your career awareness, You may have a strong vision and mission, or you may be still figuring it out. Debra will meet you wherever you are in this process and help you create your strategy to achieve rewarding work. Some clients find it useful to take advantage of career assessments such as the MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) and the Strong Interest Inventory or other measures.
Career Exploration
Career exploration involves researching the careers and jobs you may be considering. In addition to exploring resources, a significant tool here is the informational interview through which you can build a strong professional network.  Debra will help you discover your natural network and use LinkedIn to effectively build your network.
Career Implementation
Career Implementation involves connecting your goals to the tools needed to achieve them. This involves creating job search documents such as your resume and cover letter, interview strategies, negotiation strategies and professional networking strategies.
